so i decided to get books to have for reference.. i specialize in Gel but plan on doing a course to switch from gel to acrylic (i tried acrylic a while ago and never got the complete hang of liquid powder ratio-but i am determined to get it right) ... the book i have Milady's Art and Science of Nail Technology 1997 edition... but i was looking and found out there are two other reference books much newer ... apparently much bigger looking for advice on which one i should be getting before i do my course in January (i know january seems so long but i am making payments on the course)

these are the other books i have coming;

A Complete Guide to Manicure & Pedicure
Toselli, Leigh

The Complete Nail Technician
Newman, Marian (THIS IS THE ONE THEY HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR THE COURSE)

The Encyclopedia of Nails
Jefford, Jacqui

All 3 and if you can find a copy (they're like rocking horse poo) Nail Class by Gigi Rouse.

You can never have enough text books, a little bit of light reading before bed :p

all three of the milady ones? i have the 3 books coming and i already have the 1997 edition!

Milady is just the publishing house, all 3 books are written by different people from different perspectives.

One about how
one about you/skills
one about nails

There will be cross over information obviously but all have their uses.

Highly recommend Doug Schoon's Nail Structure and Product Chemistry as well.

I'm sure I read on Doug Schoon fb page that he is bringing out a new book!

I don't know how I missed that, but I also recommend this book as well.

And subscribe to Doug Schoon's Brain :)

Aye...don't know the ins and outs though. Think it's a different style.
