So following on from previous post about natural vs acrylic/gel extensions I've been looking at training to do extensions..

Other than my local college, where can I learn how to do extensions? I know there are home learning courses and online courses but from what I've read they aren't insurable?

Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

:)

Just search "acrylics fast track course - then your area" where are you from?

I'm in Cornwall .. which doesn't help much because we don't seem to have as much down here.

I've found a lady not too far away who is a trainer for CND which I'd like to train with but it's going to take me a while to save up for that

There's some good brands you can train with who do training around the country. Nail Harmony Gelish, gellux, NSI, or you could even book at a local Sallys or capital store. I'd be careful with the fast track ones (I did a fast track course at a good price and it was a waste of money, vague training and no on going support). I redid all mine with Nail Harmony x

I agree with mandy , fast track are a waste of money, time and effort. It's not worth the paper it's written on.

I agree that some are horrendous but all I've done have been great with support whenever I need it - only one I felt was vague was facial waxing I redid that one

Thanks Mandy I'll have a look and see if there's anyone down here :)

Essential nails gel or acrylic nail courses are insurable but they are not easy to do and they give you the basics to take your skills further. You will only do tips, not forms, but you can learn how to use forms on your own. The only comment I can give about the course is that it was outdated and it needs to be renewed.

You might also need the manicure course as it is a prerequisite and other companies will ask the same if you have a manicure course under your belt.

Thanks :) I've already got level 2 beauty and did manicure and pedicure then. Just looking to expand my knowledge and service list :)
