Please could someone help with a question..for what different type of client/nail would you use either the nail fresh or the primer as from what i can make out they both help for lift prone clients but i believe there is some kind of difference between the two products...?

Also please can Creative bring a little shimmer to my life, i'd love a shimmering pink gel for my pink and whites, will there be colours in the future ?

thank you xxx

I use NailFresh, ScrubFresh and Primer on everyone, just for my own insurance. With Creative's Retention+, you don't HAVE to use primer but, with a lift-prone customer, I would still go for it.
The difference between the 2 is NailFresh is a natural nail dehydrater and the Primer prepares the nail for the application and promotes adhesion.

Sorry to sound dim here but can you remind me what order they are to be used if using all three. Is it...

1)Nail Fresh

2)Scrub Fresh

3)Acid Free Primer

That's right. The Geek also has it listed in his tutorials.

Hi

Thats right alex.
Angie for a shimmery pink just mix a little clear glitter into your pink, or for a more suble look a really fine shimmery glitter, or holographic the list is endless. :wink2:

sorry to disagree here - you don't want to contaminate your nail fresh or your primer with anything so i'd

1 scrub fresh

2 nail fresh

3 scrub fresh again

4 then acid free prime.

Hi, you are in luck, I have just learnt this on my course today, so it is still fresh in my mind...

Nail Fresh - if the nail plate is still oily or wet after your standard prep is done, use nail fresh and then scrub fresh

Primer - this is to be used after scrubfresh on lift prone clients

The two products do two different things. Hope this helped, it comes courtesy of Marco Benito Pagliuca

Thank you for pointing that out. What I failed to take into consideration is I do NF, SF, Primer but, I have a habit of using 91% Alcohol before any of it.

Thanks all for your help once again...as for above can i add these glitters/shimmers to my brisa gel and do creative do them ?

Why not mix twighlight or glimmer in with your pink? That is your best solution.

Though you can easily go from removing shine to NF, it can possibly contaminate your NF if there is free standing dust. I generally will do a quick wipe over with SF before doing NF just to get any dust off the plate before NF application.

so if i get the twighlight or glimmer powders i can just mix with my pink brisa gel, is there anything important i should know about mixing ?
sorry to be a pain (used to drive my mum nuts asking why!!! all the time)

Ack!

Sorry, I was being as thick as a set of first time enhancments.
No, dont mix glimmer or twighlight with gel ;)
You can try some glitter (ie INM's glitter) but avoid using too much of it.

Sorry :)

I have read what you are saying about nail prep ... after coolblue and cuticle remover / eraser and koala buffer to remove shine I use scrubfresh ... I have not got or used nail fresh and don't use primer as I only use retention+ ... is this ok or should i be using nailfresh or primer or both?

I thought that if you use primer with retention+ it actually brings down the keratin bonding thingy and that the point of retention+ was it didnt need to be used with a primer ... make sense? lol

Thanks

Hi Jo

Ive also been reading this thread with interest

I have been told the following too, that you have no need or shoudnt use Primer with retention + (CND products) (could someone please confirm this one way or other for us)

Also for additional dehydration i use nailfresh for those clients prone to lifting or where extra dehydration is required, with scrubfresh before and after - works a treat

No - you don't have to use these products - this is what is known as MAX PREP and you only really need to do this on clients you have particular lifting probs with!

Yes - makes sense and yes you are right - if you are going to do all this - why not use Radical? These steps are to help eliviate problems that may appear with certain clients! R+ Rocks but there will always be at least one that doesn't cope with it - lifting - then try NF & P OR try Radical...CHOICES once again - are what it is all about!! HTH's

Thankyou :) I will sleep better tonight now :wink2:

ahhhhh, good job we cleared that up i was just about to place yet another order for loads of glimmer and i dont think my credit card can take another bashing, thanks for that..xxx

Can I just clarify all of this then please cos to me as a newie to nails it is confusing!
If I do a set of nails for the first time I need only do the usual prep...cool blue, cuticle remover, koala to remove shine then scrubfresh to dehydrate. But if that client has a problem with lifting then I should do the same as above but then use Nail fresh and then Scrubfresh again? If this doesn't work then try same as above again, then Nail fresh, Scrubfresh then primer?
