Hi im very new to the nail tech world and im looking to bulk up my kit a bit so wondered what polish ppl recommend? I seem to come across opi, nail inc and orly the most but are they the best? Many thanks x

Many nail techs recommend different polishes for different reasons, and at the end of the day, everyone has their own preference.

Amongst some of the most popular though, are the following:

Jessica
OPI
Essie
CND
China Glaze
Orly

Try and get yourself to Professional Beauty at ExCel, London next month (you can register as a student), where you will be able to see these different brands for yourself and ask for a demonstration at the exhibitor stands.

Hope that helps.

I love OPI xxxx

Thank you all :) the excel sounds a great idea! Think i need to do a lot of research and trying out :) x

I love opi!! I find orly watery on first coat and it takes at least 3 colour colour to show the true colour.

I find opi the brush is fab n colour to x

Where do you get opi from?

You can purchase opi from your local beauty warehouse, or from the Lena White it self x

Ooo thank you :) i may buy one to just try it out :) x

China glaze and OPI :)

For me I have to say CND, it dries so quickly which is great for my clients plus using the effects are brill. I buy from S2 (sweet squared) , fab company, fab customer service.

Defo get yourself to Excel with product free nails so you can have some testers done and make an informed decision for yourself :)

I quit using OPI because it gets pretty thick when the bottle is half empty. Since I switched the China Glaze, no problem with that now. For the amount of money OPI is it should be useable to the bottom of the bottle.

So it's not just about how a polish works for you but also getting your moneys worth out of it too. Just saying! :wink2:

Hello Laura
If you are looking for a professional brand with the quodos of an award winning brand loved by the consumers globally then OPI has to be the brand for you. OPI was the most written about nail lacquer in the consumer press in 2011 so its the brand you know your customers recognise and love BUT it has the most incredible wearability, long lasting shine, fast drying and professional strength. OPI's colour range is also fabulous with new collections and shades available throughout the year to excite your customers. See OPI as Excel, its definately worth your while:)
