Hi there, appreciate some help please. I've been practicing like mad and now I have a few clients (just a few). One lady I did last week on the 5th has called me yesterday and said the nails look like they have been on for 2 weeks and are all lifting. Also 1 apparently popped off.

I used the edge products L&P and the Edge French Tips and their glue. I've not had problems before. I use these products on my own nails and not found problems. I'm very good on the prep and sanitisation. But this lady has raised lines in her nails, could this be my problem? She has also worn L&P for the past 20 years and had a 9 month break from them.

Does anyone else out there use the edge products?

I'll know more tomorrow when I see them but worried about it. Any advice please?

I have raised lines in my nails and do not ever have lifting no matte what system I use, L/P, wraps or gel.

Best to take a look at them asap. It may be that she is just not used to them after such a long break or that after such a long break, your prep did not go far enough to remove everything necessary.

If there is lifting, then generally there is something between the product and the nail. 99 times out of 100, the problem is preparation. Your prep always has to be more thorough on a full set where the client has not worn nails before or for a long time. It is difficult to see all the cuticle on the nail and to know when you have got rid of it all. You need a really good cuticle remover when doing a first prep.

If you are not having this problem with others then I wouldn't think it is the product that is at fault.

Thanks

I'll make sure the prep is done properly when she returns today
