I really hope someone can help-
I have grown my nails to a nice length and I accidentally caught my nail on my little finger, I think it must of bent back and now half of my nail has ripped , it's torn really low down on one side (the other side is still attached of that makes sense)
I have shellac on that needs to be redone, I am going on holiday next week and want to remove my shellac an re do it.
What would your advice be - do you think it will be ok to remove the old shellac- will soaking the nail just weaken it and make the loose nail come of? It's only if I lift the nail up I can see that has torn so I am thinking if I keep the shellac on/ put new shellac on it will help keep my nail together until It grows out as it is just too short to cut down to the tear- I have cut as low as I can.
I have currently put a plaster on it to hold it together- I am thinking of leaving a plaster on for a few days then removing the shellac and re applying.
This may sound silly but just worried as I don't want to cause any more damage as being in the beauty industry I like to have nice nails, do you think it will grow back normal?
