Currently on a level 3 vtct nails course and found out I was pregnant on my 3rd week. Unfortunately I suffered a miscarriage a week ago and I am really scared to carry on with my course incase it somehow affected what happened..or if I can get pregnant again I'm scared it will cause problems..
Does anyone have advice for me? I have to make my decision tomorrow on whether I carry on with the course.

Thanks in advance

Firsrly so sorry for your loss! If you don't feel mentally ready to carry on with your course, dont, you can always redo it when youre ready.
I found out I was pregnant at the beginning of my level 2 nail course, which covered mani/pedi, silks and acrylics, and was doing the course right up until I went in labour the day before my final exam and had a perfectly healthy baby boy. Many nail tech do courses, work whilst pregnant and lots of pregnant ladies get nail treatments.

If you're able to, speak to your GP or the hospital who dealt with your miscarriage and tell them your concerns.

I am so sorry. Like Pink Pixie said if you don't feel ready to continue with your course then you could possibly resume it at a later date. It might, however, be good to get back into it as something to focus on.

It is highly unlikely that it was anything to do with the miscarriage but I know from experience you look for anything to explain what happened or what caused it, sometimes it really is just one of those things.

I am currently 25 weeks pregnant and have been doing nails throughout. I also started my level 4 beauty and massage last October, two weeks before finding out I was pregnant, and have carried on doing massage throughout.

Whatever your reasons for carrying on with your course or not I don't think it should be for the fear that continuing could cause a miscarriage.
