I have a client who has been coming to me for quite a few months now for acrylics. All was fine now all of a sudden her nails are growing quite fast and lifting (quite badly sometimes) she has two weeks growth of an average person in less than a week :/ can anyone explain why this is happening please?
She has started some new medication so I've put it down to that as my prep etc is fine. I'm just wondering if anyone has experienced this?

Hormonal changes ?

Perhaps you can find out the name of her new medication and look it up on the internet?
If the extra growth and starting on new tablets coincide then that is probably the reason.

I have a client and her nails grow exceptionally fast too. She comes to appointments with her daughter who has long extensions and no lifting.
The mum has short overlays and the lifting is bad. I've tried to get her to come fortnightly but the daughter won't as hers are fine lol

She's on a few different meds and undergoing tests as they're not sure what her problem is yet unfortunately :( I was doubting myself at first as I'm still a newbie but I know my nails are fine, I've took extra care with her n still happens. Feel so sorry for as she loves her nails done.
What should I suggest to do for her? I've suggested a hard gel overlay because her nails are growing that fast she won't need the length soon xx

I should add the reason I suggested that is because I read on a page that someone got a little longer out of gels in the same situation xx

What brand do you use? I use CND & even though retention+ is a primerless liquid, on bad lifters I'll use nail fresh & a primer, this normally sorts them out!

I use nsi and also use super bond on her x
