Can you work in a kid spa using just a file with no license. My understanding was that you need license to do anything in a spa

Most definitely of you want insurance to cover you. In my country you my even allows to work on a minor without parental convent forms being signed so I a pretty sure you can't just "wing it"

I agree. Since my initial training last summer (I'm in Canada, eh!), I've taken numerous courses and still counting!! I have 3 courses planned in the next 3 weeks plus time booked with master techs. More challenging then I realized, but the training is worth it!!
