Has anyone learnt this.It incorporates japanese and indian massage and acupressure techniques to hopefully lift and tighten. It says its sweeping the country and they do the course amongst many other places in my town.

Don't know anything about this!

However can I be cheeky & add a question??

Is is possible to do this to yourself??!!

If so I would be interested!

I would imagine you could.I massage my own face its not very relaxing but its as effective.

Havent heard of it. Whats the company called that is running the course?

I've seen it advertised a bit, I would imagine it would work on the muscles of the face to tone and lift so therefore would need to be done quite regularly.

We've had acupressure facials in our salon for a couple of years now. The therapist that performs them is from China herself, and trained over there. Acupressure training is the norm in China, I think!

They are marvellous facials, very relaxing and very effective at toning the face.

I did it with Gateway and it does work - if you just do one side of the face and not the other you can see a big difference in the lift. It's a great course I have maybe 5-6 clients a week. In the course you just learn the massage technique but I've incorporated it into a luxury facelift facial, using hot towels etc. It's great before a big night out but a course of 6 with 2 a week would give a big difference.

No not yet ,life on hold at mo due to future family ops , kids exams and college days and other things hope things will settle by september so i can do it around then.

Hi,

Thalgo incorporate a similar massage into one of their treatments, which uses manual massage to do the same as a non-surgical face lift would do. It was a very strong massage, and i couldn't say it was the most comfortable to receive (i bruised in training, but that was because i don't have sagging muscle tone apparently), but the clients who received it where i worked raved about it and kept coming back for more. We did it as part of a 75 minute facial, and it cost quite a bit. The products used were also more expensive, which would have been part of the reason for the increased cost, but I think they were charging £75 per facial.

It was very effective when applied correctly. I would imagine this massage is a similar thing.

just bumping this back up, has anyone else had any experience with this technique, im intrigued.x

I'm just about to learn a "face gym" massage with my new Gerards skin care range. It is meant to be a work out for the facial muscles.

lol fab. how funny would it be if you sellotaped little weights to your face lol. Ive got a hilarious mental image now!

I will let you know...no mini weights have been delivered...although the trainer said it may be a bit uncomfortable to have! hee hee!

Thought I'd dig this one up! I have booked to do it in London on 10th Feb, anyone else here done this recently? If so what did you think? Ta!

The Gerard's massage involved deep pressure on specific muscles (boy were my jaw muscles tense!) and also the client resisting pressures to work their neck.
