Hiya,

I was exactly the same as you when I qualified. I had a part time job as a stylist but felt totally out my depth. Only now that I'm doing my level 3 do I feel like I'm finding my feet.

I think the best thing you can dois go back to college and do your level 3, and start applying for some work experience now.

Hth's

thanx!! glad its not just me! only im 22 this year iv been a qualified beauty therapist for nearly 5 years and iv just lost my job due to lack of business :( so now im job hunting but dont want to get out of beauty but iv done the hairdressing for a reason so i want to use it. i did it with a collage that come out one day a week to train you and did it from my friends salon. so iv just never had real clients like apprentices would have..oh my lifes fun!!

Hi, Im in the same position you were in, Iv been in beauty 10 years and looking to train to be a hair dresser. What is this college? and what are the fees like? I have only been able to find full time courses. Thanks.xx

Noticed these post were pretty old and was wondering if any of you are still looking for work or would be interested in the job I'm offering?

Gloss Extensions

Gloss extensions is now looking for hopefuls to join the team. If employed you will be called and sent on work, to apply and style extensions, in the costumers home. Pay will be dependant on the amount of costumers you are able to complete.
For example doing one head by yourself usually take around 5 hours for full head so you will be getting paid £60 for each head, which if you can do at least two heads a day you will earn £120 for the day.
Which say you work for 5 days a week you will earn £600 a week, which is 31,200 a year.
Although the faster you work the more jobs you can take and more money you earn.
No prior experience is needed although would be an advantage, plus if you can cornrow, and already style hair.
You will get training and travel expenses paid for.

Also when not doing hair you may also be allocated to join sales teams, securing clients. This will involve talking to the public so being a good sales person. Being a confident speaker will also help as you will usually be working with the public.

Hopeful applicants must be well groomed and have a high standard of hygiene
If interested please email cv to [email protected] or call 07859723912
