Hi guys,
My hair is very straight and quite thick. It's medium to short around the sides but fairly long ontop with a fringe going to the side. Because my hair is very straight my hairdresser advised me to use a hair product that adds texture and also of which will help straighten down my sides a bit.
I'd like it to like not look like i've even got hair product in it or a kind of matte finish. Someone recently got me Vo5 texture surf style paste which is meant to give a matte finish but it just makes my hair look greasy.
Any advice?
Thanks a lot!

Goldwell do a nice product called full rebel it's a fluid paste, I use it on most short hair as a finishing product it's lovley, I jus had my hair cut short and I've been using mattifying powder (got 2 b) to give it texture, lift and hold and then I finish it off with full rebel for definition

They did but i can't remember which one it was because they had like 3 different ones out. Thanks for the recommendation but do you know one which is good for thick hair of which is fairly long on top? That looks natural and not greasy, yours you said you used on short hair.
EDIT: the goldwell product you said also mentioned it being ideal for fine hair so i don't think it will be best for me.
