Hi geeks. I have a lady I’m going to do tomorrow. Her previous hairdresser no longer wants to do her hair and she now wants me to colour it for her. She has given me the formulas she uses (she messaged her hairdresser as she loves the colour and wants to keep it. She does full head of meche (I use foils which is fine) but her old hairdresser does bleach with 40 vol and uses ula+ with 40 vol. she just does her roots in the foils. But I’m no way using bleach and 40 I’ll be using bleach and 20. I’m just concerned about the ula+. I’ve never used it before but I’m so concerned it will turn my ladies hair blue if I get any of it on her already blonde hair!!!!! Help please

Her previous hairdresser no longer wants to do her hair ....her old hairdresser does bleach with 40 vol and uses ula+ with 40 vol.

Do you know why her previous hairdresser sacked her as a client and do you think she was being honest about using 40 vol with bleach? I can’t imagine anyone still does that these days.
With any new client, I never ask for anyone’s previous formulas but I do want to know what they liked/didn’t like about their previous cut/colour.
If it was me, I’d stick with what I know regarding colour formulas rather than follow someone else’s suggestions.
When I was training, a client mentioned a previous hairdresser had to add bleach in with her colour as she didn’t lift very well. Stupidly, I followed her suggestion and OMG, it came out orange. Lesson learnt!

Hi Hun. Yes because she wants to cut her days down apparently. I cut her hair and this other lady colours it!!! She asked her hairdresser for the formulas and sent them to me. The colour is gorgeous but like urself I was horrified that she was using 40 vol with bleach. Especially in foils!!! It’s the ula+ I’m concerned about. I may just advice that I just do bleach and a nice toner after
