Hello, couldn't see an introductions thread, sorry if I've missed it! I'm Katie, I'm a freelance MUA but at the moment I'm concentrating on formulating a cosmetics line, which I'm dead excited about :) I live in London for most of the year, and am obsessed with all forms of beauty! Can't wait to get chatting to everyone on here :)

I have a hair related question though, and I was wondering whether anyone could help. My friend is studying hairdressing part time, and I needed my hair dyeing, so she volunteered. However on the day she planned to come over and do it, her boyfriend ended booking a last minute holiday and she phoned me whilst frantically packing but said she'd drop round the dye and instructions. It was L'oreal Hi-Richesse in Caramel 7.14 and the releaser. First time I've used it and I really like it but it was a bit too dark for me. She left me shade chart and I really liked 7.13 'Satin Blonde', 7.3, or maybe even 8.31 mixed with a slightly darker one? Like a nice light blondey brown.

My friend reckons she'll be able to get me to such colour with Hi-Richesse, but as she's not been doing it long I just wanted to check! My hair history: short bob, Live XXL brown/red for a few months, bleached out to ginger, crappy, terrible box dye that didn't really take and left me with patchy ginger brown. Which was why I turned to my friend, and I'm delighted with the shine and how well the Richesse took.

So does anyone think, once this Caramel has faded out a bit (two months?), the colours I mentioned would be achievable without another bleaching sesh?

Sorry it's so long, haha, I'm just being a bit cautious about it all! And sorry if this section is for hair pros only, eep >_<

Thanks so much,

Katie x
