Hello evryone

I have just qualified as a hairdresser a month ago and was thinking of going a little mobile. I don't know how much I should start charging people so I was wondering if you all could give me some suggestions please????

Also when it comes to wash the clients hair, I have a client coming to my house Monday for a cut and blow dry and she will be my first client since I qualified and I was feeling bad to have to wash her hair at the bath. How does everybody else deal with it? and how you guys find it easier???

All the suggestions are very appreciated as I have no clue of anything when it come to mobile hairdressing

and 1 last thing. What is the best way to go with buying products eg: Hair Color and styling etc....

Thank you all very much!!!!!

Hi I started mobile hairdressing a month ago. My prices have been very low while I get back into it and iv had quite a few clients. And a few have rebooked for in a few weeks. Iv just decided to put my prices up as iv noticed iv not been making anything it's only been supplying my products which isn't good. Have a look around on the Internet for prices salons near u charge and work out a decent enough price that u will be making money aswell ad coverinh costs for things As for washing clients hair most of them suggest over the bath and the odd client has wanted over the kitchen sink. Ask the client where they would prefer. I'm doing the whole buy as you go as iv not had the money to buy all what I need so when I do a consultation, and say they want a colour I do a skin and strand test. And whatever colour they are wanting to achieve I work out what will be needed and buy it. As u know u don't use say a full tube of tint and a full bottle of peroxide so as u go u find u have products u can reuse so that also saves money. Most people have just been having full head foil highlights so it's quite easy to buy the bleach and peroxide. U will soon learn the best way to do things. And this site is fantastic for any advice u may need. Good luck with everything I'm sure you will do fantastic with it x

Hi, I have a comfy wash which I don't use that often, but all of my clients don't mind hair washed over bath or sometimes kitchen sink.

When mobile you have to put a bit of money into to start off with. As with colours I always do a consultation prior to appointment so they can have skin test and choose colour x
