Hi I am currently running another business in mobile teeth whitening but am looking to also go into the mobile spray tanning field.....this has proved a minefield of machines, products, training etc. I need help......Can any of you please give me some ideas for the best of all of these. Money is not a real issue as I do want a great product but I also dont want to be ripped off as I know they are out there. Thanks

Hi I have always used Sienna X. They have a great range of business start-up kits to suit most budgets and their customer service is fantastic. The solutions are reasonably priced and many clients are familiar with the brand which has been very helpful for gaining clients. They also do a great range of retail products which you can sell to clients to make more money.

I have also heard good things about Tantrick and Nouvatan but I have never tried them myself as I have always been happy with Sienna X. I am sure other geeks would be able to advise you better on these brands.

HTH and good luck!

Emma.

WoW factor have a good price for the Maximist machine and they also sell the organic solution and organic rapid solution which at the moment I am finding is going down really well with clients and they can't get enough of it.

Hi I'm new to this but I have the maxi mist machine nd have just trained with Sienna x as was using sol glo. I was wanting to go in to teeth whitening do you mind telling 'me where you trained?

Maximist machine
Tent if poss with a detachable roof (its good to have a roof esp for taller people that you have to spray higher in the tent and then you can ensure no solution goes on roof if they have low ceilings but its good for the roof to be detachable if no room for it or if putting it on would mean its touching a light fitting on the ceiling)
I would say if buying the maching and tent together you shouldnt be paying over £300 for this and it should usually include some solution or disposables aswell
OMG - do the best and cheapest disposables in my opinion- caps/sticky feet and paper pants- OMG have had a few delivery issues recently but as far as I know they have sorted it now and just make sure you order in advance so if you do have to wait a little longer for delivery it wont hold u back.
Barrier cream- have a look on threads there is a few about this and alot of geeks use a cream beginning with A (cant mind its name) but is bought from a chemist and very cheap for a big tub but works great as a barrier cream
for the bottom of the tent people use couch roll or a towel mainly
As for solutions everyone has there own preference so best thing to do is google tanning companies and contact them and ask for free samples then you can test them out and choose which product to use
I make my own consultation cards
The only other things I have in my kit is a mit and babaywipes

good luck

It's okay saying they are good deals with all the disposables included but I bought loads when I started and still got most of them left. I find people want to keep their own knickers on and I use a nice thick towel and have never had anyone want to use sticky feet (except for one client who came in boots and wanted to walk to the car in them :) ) Sometimes your better off looking for a good deal on the machine, tent and solution and then work out if your going to need the disposables. :)

Everyones different tho as the majority of my clients wear sticky feet and caps and a handful wear paper pants so just depends reallyno right or wrong answer with this one- but I am a firm beliver in that you should offer disposables even if the client refuses so a starter kit with a few of everything would be a great start then if theres no demand for them at least you can still offer them

I totally agree all my clients wear a hat and and most of them want the thong too as they dont want to ruin their underwear (lots of people seem to wear nice white or new stuff to look good when they get naked without thinking about the tan solution getting on them lol). I always carry disposables including sticky feet even though I use a towel just incase someone asks for them.

I use barrier cream because it came with my kit but will be swapping to Aqueous cream (the cream a poster above mentioned beginning with A from a chemist).

This is a good maximist starter kit for £239
