 hi im new.im at college nearly finished 1st year one to go.enjoying course ive written to a few salons to try and get some salon experience for free but never got one reply has any one got any ideas.lisa

Send your cv out and keep trying?

Go and see them, walk into salons, when it's quiet as to speak to who ever is in charge and tell them what you've done etc and that you are looking for some unpaid work experience, can they help.
It's always better if they can see you, see what you are like, how neat and tidy you are, how you speak, make eye contact etc.
It also shows that you are doing this because you really want it rather then the college has told you to do it.
When I first qualified as a nail tech I went to every place I could find that had a nail tech and asked them if they needed holiday cover.
You could use that as part of your intro, say you are looking for work experience and thought it might be useful to offer now, to be in mind for when holiday cover is needed, obviously you wouldn't be fully qualified but you would be able to help with first year treatments which would allow higher qualified people to cover that work. Ok, you'd need to word it better but I don't know what you have and haven't covered, but I think you'll get the idea:biggrin: Good luck hun.
