New wax pot - what setting?

Afternoon everyone

I got a new wax pot yesterday, and we have only just started doing waxing at college. obviously there is a dial on the wax pot, how do you knwo what number setting to have it on?

Sorry if that sounds silly but I thought there might have been some instructions inside the pot but there isnt!

Mine is set at No. 3.

Which heater have you got?

I set my Hive 1000cc at around no 3, no 4 if it's an extra cold day, but my Babyliss double heater, I set at no 1

I set my babyliss double at 1 too but the pot on the left is always hotter , and my hive also at 3

Yep my hive is also set at 3, but 3-4 on a cold day.

What wax kit do you have Carrie? Ive got the babyliss pro satin smooth one,to melt the wax I put it on 10 for 30 mins, then at 1 to stabilise the wax and then setting 3. I have my waxing practical exam in 2 weeks,how are you finding waxing?
