Newbie to beauty training

I’m beginning my first module to my VTCT NVQ Beauty on Monday. I’ve never done anything beauty related before. I’m currently in admin but decided there must be more to life. Any tips before I get onto it? What do I get in my kit? I’m having a ‘what was I thinking’ moment!

I'm loving practising on myself so far but need to find some willing victims to let me use them as I've run out of hair to wax and the other half isn't letting me anywhere near him with my wax pot!

I have had a full time job as a warehouse supervisor for 17 years now. Last year I decided I needed some skills so in the past 12 months I'm trained to do semi permanent lashes, lash lifts, brows, spray tans and almost qualified to do gel polish. Never in a millon years did I see myself in the beauty game but I love it! It' nice to have a change and it' more like a hobby than anything. You will get the bug to ☺
