Hi all, I am newly qualified in micro rings, nano beads and tape hair extensions.
When u all first statutes out did you charge for fittings? I was thinking I should charge half price for all fittings for the first 10 clients?
Also what is the normal rate for fittings?
Thanks in advance x

Hi!

I qualified last month and did my first five clients free of charge, all they paid for is the hair.
I did a client for each method I qualified in & glad I did because I've definitely learnt lots since then.

I do know that some people charged half price for fittings when they started out but for me its not about the money at the moment more the experience and learning.

I am still super cheap considering my area (london) and charge £55 for tapes, £70 for Micros and £80 for nanos.
Most girls charge around £90-120 on top of the cost of hair here but as I'm new I wouldn't charge that.
As I haven't got a set time it takes me, I dont charge per hour just the total cost but once I know how long each method takes me I will charge per hour.

Hope this helps & good luck xx

I did my first 5 fittings free and stated that I am newly qualified and after 5 models to try on. Personally I wish I never did it, They were the only 5 girls I have ever had problems with. The girls I did expected removals for free, they caused me so many problems, one girl stated that her hair was growing to fast and it was my fault as they were growing out, this was years ago now but really knocked my confidence when first starting out, I would recommend trying to get family for you to try on.

I charged full price but had a good practise on dolls head and my two sisters x

Thanks all! I have 3 booked in and am charging half the price. Just hope they all turn up. Also where do you buy the hair from? And did u buy cheap hair to practice with?

I always to model prices usally about £70 of full price and a lot of clients are happy with that but I did do a lot of practice on my dolls and my mum
