Hi all I have wanted to dye my hair for ages, I dont have the spare cash at mo to have it done by a pro, I am currently a dark blonde but wanted to try to go to a brunette, im scared as only ever had highlights and wonder if I do it myself will it actually turn out the right colour, also which brand would u all recommend? Thanks in advance xx

We can't offer any advice about what to do - or recommend shop-bought products I'm afraid.

But if you're short for cash, why don't you contact your local college which does hairdressing?

You'd get what you want at a fraction of the price of a salon. My college salon would charge £15 maximum for full head highlights or full head colour - that's for a level 3 to do it, if you don't mind a level 2, it'd be less than that ;)

Local salons in your area might also have model night.

Good luck.
