I went to a hairdresser locally for the first time The owner has cut my fridge so blunt that it sticks up like it looks like a roof on my head. The lady who took my money must of noticed it as she spoke to the owner . The owner said it will settle. I woke up this morning and the fringe is still the same also my hair has beige colours on the crown. Then very blonde in length then the front sides look like a blue grey colour. Also I was charged £180 for a haircut then hilights then I paid for toner then the blow dry was a rushed job by 2 hairdressers including the owner . Is it normal to be charged to have a toner and shall I go back to the salon and have my fringe sorted out together with the other problems

If you're not happy then go back to the salon and explain why you're not happy.

It is normal to charge more for a toner, were you not advised on a price before hand? They don't have to quote you but I would as you are a new client.

If you don't like the colour then all you can do is go back and see what they say, we can't see your hair, or what it was like beforehand so can't comment.

If the fringe is too blunt like you've said then it won't take them too seconds to fix, if it's too short then you just need to let it grow.

Hope this helps and you get it sorted.

If you’re trying out a new hairdresser, I’d always advise start with something simple like a deep conditioning treatment and a trim so you have time to sit and watch and see what the ambience is like and how they treat their clients.
So many hairdressers struggle with colour that you really need to do your homework before going for a big change.

If you post a picture, we could offer remedial suggestions for the fringe depending on density and length and possibly comment on the colour too. Your description of the colour certainly sounds odd.

Also, fringes don’t settle. It should have been perfect before you left the salon.

If your not happy with your hair definitely go back but yes you should get charged for a toner as it is a separate service on top of a colour but it should also be right for you to be paying that amount of money x
