Hello all :)

I am desperate to go back to adult education ( night college )to do beauty therapy level two and following that level 3 massage.

I have been previously enrolled in a home study one that has not been for me unfortunately due to many reasons. It has really upset me and questioned my ability as I had lack of support and no guidance when I rang up the college for support every single time.

but anyway onwards and upwards!

I STILL have a love for beauty therapy and want to go back .
AS the course starts in September ( nelson and colne college lancashire ) I am Waiting on their current prospectus to update and give me an idea of prices for level 2 beauty. I called them but they won't give me an indication of price as they said they do not want to misquote anything . No idea how long have to wait for a price and My wedding is next year so I would like to organise my finances.

Would anyone be able to give me a ROUGH GUIDELINE on price for this adult course or tell me what they paid for a level 2 course .

my guess is around 700 but I could be off .
thank you I would really appreciate feedback! :)

Have the college indicated if there is any funding avalible? I find a lot of the level 2 courses at my college are avalible funded but it depends on personal circumstances & level 3's are avalible on the 24+ learning loan scheme but you have to be over 24 & under 24 are again subject to funding, I know 99% of my classes all got funding xx

Hi
Thank you for the feedback I am going to ask! I am 23
But will be 24 by the time the course starts in sept. I really need a helping hand financially. x

Hi there,

Definitely check into funding! 24+ will help you fund your NVQ3 in Massage.

I'm currently an NVQ Level 2 Student in Beauty Therapy. I paid £1495 (inclusive of VAT) for the course plus I shelled out for the starter kit (approximately £250).

Perhaps your course is less expensive because it's at a college, but I doubt it.

Hope this helps you make a more informed decision!

Thank you :)
How you're enjoying your level two. Can I ask who you went with if you're not at a conventional college?
