I wash my hair, and after a few hours it’s oily (greasy) again!! If I need to go out I have to wash it within two hours of leaving the house before it’s greasy again.

I’ve tried leaving my hair to bring out the natural oils more as I’m use to washing it daily.. but it’s even worse!

Can anyone recommended maybe a diy hair mask that I can make/use to help this?

What shampoo and conditioner are you using ?

Try and use a more natural shampoo and conditioner that contains no SLS (Sodium Laureth Sulphate) as this is the ingredient that ‘over cleanses’ the hair as it is an industrial cleaner which is used because it’s cheap but really too harsh a chemical to use daily, as when you strip the oils from your own hair (and scalp) whilst shampooing, your body reacts by making more, and the stronger chemical you use, the more it strips, so the more oil you make to compensate.
Makes sense.
By switching to a non SLS shampoo you’ll notice s few things.
It doesn’t foam up like regular shampoos do. Don’t worry. It doesn’t mean it’s not cleaning your hair as it should-it is.
It also might take a few days for your scalp to get used to the change, so you may still feel the need to wash it daily initially, but then try to drop to every other day and hopefully you’ll be able to do it 2/3 times a week.

It’s hard to make a change but don’t lose confidence- you can’t carry on as you are so you have nothing to lose.

I got some natural shampoo and conditioner from TK Maxx but then found some at a company called Natural Elements which were SLS free, paraben free, cruelty free and suitable for vegans (and the conditioner is chocolate and vanilla and smells good enough to eat.)
Good luck
