I purchased my first travelling stylist olaplex kit a while ago . Got a fair few customers to have it ( at a reasonable cost ) however only about 30% of people who tried it wanted to add it to their usual colour / bleaching service, I’m on my second kit and t bh , am not sure financially for me it’s been worthwhile I am unsure if I will buy again !
Is it just me ?

If their hair is in any way compromised - then they HAVE to have it! :D

I don't 'force' it on all my client's :p, as it is an extra cost.
If their hair's in good condition to start with, they won't - IMO - notice a drastic difference...... and we all know how hard 'Joe public' can be to WOW now days  !
That's when you get;
. ...." no thanks, I won't have it this time - it wasn't all that...."!

So make sure you use it wisely......

I will admit to being over generous at the start....giving it away willy nilly....Not any more.....
Insist , and charge accordingly to those who NEED IT......

Offer it as a mini treatment whilst your cutting on those with less damage.....;)

That being said....I can't sell for the life of me - the take home no. 3!
Folk tell me they get theirs via Amazon for half the price I charge! (£27.00)o_O

Hi I’m wanting to start using it. Was thinking of charging £20 for it on top of a colour service. I’d this a good price? Also with bleach is it true you have to up the peroxide’s with it??

No uping the peroxide.....they've changed some of the original advice after trial/feedback.

I charge £20.00 for the up grade....meaning added to colour/bleach and using no.2 after.

If it's a stand alone, I charge more....it does take time, and more product!

Do be aware however.....some folk just don't want to pay for it, so be firm with those who really need it!

It's well known for it's use in bleach....but my favorite use is the client who's colour never seems to last.
It really does stop the fade!

same - i have so many bottles collecting dust!
i have noticed one salon is mixing toner into it and advertising it as a 'colour pick me up' (silvers, reds etc) although i don't know what they've mixed it with.
honestly thinking about just knocking it down to see it go, or using it as a 'competition prize' on our social media pages to generate interest in the hope of future clients.
what to do hey!!!
i sometimes also won't offer a service without it like you, for example our balayage services are dearer than our normal colours but olaplex is always included in that cost x

To be honest , none of my regular customers have hair that’s really bad condition , I like to think that it’s cos I’m really contentious [emoji23][emoji15]and careful , I think a couple of them could benefit but in this ‘ money saving ‘ world every one is so careful and choosy about what they spend.

Aw ok so I’ll get the same lift then. That’s good!! Yeah I will charge £20 on top of the service then £30 for the step 3. Do u find it really does make a difference. I have a lot of bleached clients especially full head bleach which terrifies me their compromising their condition

I full bleach my hair roots every 6 weeks and have for almost a year. I won't bleach it without Olaplex and it is the ONE product I swear by and will use every week for as long as I bleach my hair! I'm also a huge fan of the Lanza Keratin Healing line. I'm addicted to fashion colors and change my color almost every 6 weeks. Olaplex is a must!

And how does your condition feel Hun x

Reasons I use it

- it gains me clients from its name
- it makes the hair feel amazing
- people need it
- I make money on number 3

Do I make profit on it? Probably not a lot but the above I do
