Hi I’m interested to get started using either olaplex or wellaplex. I use wella colours already and have heard a few things about these products but would like to have some training on it before I get started. I’m a mobile hairdresser so haven’t got in salon training and I can’t seem to find any training near me for either. Can anyone advise if there is training for these products or which brand people prefer please? Thank you in advance :)

Wella do looooooooaaaads of training for freelancers which is great as lots of companies don’t. Sally’s and Capital both do Wella courses plus ask in your local wholesalers what they have on offer

Olaplex training is all online

Thank you both for your replies, yes I have just looked again and seen a few wella courses I’m interested in but none of them are any where near me also not seen anything on wellaplex. Also thank you didn’t realise olaplex training was online. Would really like a model to try on first though....bit daunting trying something new on your own.

Olaplex is unique as it’s the only product that will re-connect broken bonds within the hair, thus strengthening the hair. It IS NOT a conditioner so you’d still need to use a conditioner to smooth the cuticle layer.

Olaplex has numerous world wide patents covering their formula and all the other ‘plex’ titled products are (I believe) just conditioning products unless they have found an alternative substance that does the same job, so personally, I wouldn’t waste my money on them.

The main difference between the 3 variants of Olaplex is that No.1 contains the highest strength of the magic ingredient and No.2 is a dilute version with No.3 being the weakest version. I bleach my hair regularly and normally use Olaplex but didn’t the last time I did my roots and I really noticed a difference.
