Hi,

So just wanted a little advice when it comes to doing ombré/gradient nails.

I use gelish and I bought the sponges supplied by them. What I find once I have rolled the colour onto the nail, then start dabbing to get desired effect, there are air bubbles!!!

How do I prevent this from happening, the top coat does usually smooth it out but on occasions the air bubbles stay!

Can you tell me what your method of doing these are please. How many coats, cure time etc

Thanks
X

So glad I'm not the only one who has this! Sorry I can't help but would love to know the answer to this xx

I've never mastered ombre with gel polish for exactly that reason, I think because it doesn't dry there is nothing for the product to adhere to (unlike polish) so it can't 'settle' and even out properly.

I've moved to pigments for ombre, much easier.

I don't get on with the beauty or nail sponges, I cut the scouring bit off a supermarket one [emoji33] and chop into small triangles.
