Hi there,

Looking for some advice, I have a clients who wants ombre, she wants to lighten her ends and tint the root as well, I usually backcomb when I do ombre but have only ever done it when leaving the root natural. I have watched lots of videos where they do all the lightening first then root tint and tone the ends after on wet hair but lots of people say to tint the root first then lighten the ends. Advice please??

I do mine at the same time. I put my lighter pieces in foils and tint roots and take some pieces through straight after. Less hassle less time. You get used to it. But messy at first but better than two applications.

I always ballyage with the lighter tone first rinse dry then apply root colour and blend it down. I find it takes any lines ect out and blends it all in loveky x
