as im only training im aware of the damage i can do to myself (and my poor practice hand!)- let alone if i didnt have any facts- just a sheet with pictures!

Too true:eek:

There is a nail tech in Manchester advertising on myspace to teach you how to do acrylic nails in just four hours.

CHILL ....

We all know that people can't do their own nails worth a damn. Let them spend their money stupidly. This is no threat to you or your businesses.

Just keep you head down and get on with your own business and stop worrying about others all the time.

We women have been doing our own nails in one way or another since we were 12 years old. You will always get those who 'have a go' and then they give up.

I personally can't be bothered to worry about them.

I suppose it's just the same as Argos and all that, but it's the fact that they should suggest they start 'a small business' that got to me:irked:

I guess, they'll get fed up & they'll end up on the auction sites half used.

How far do you honestly think they will get in a business?? Please! Not worth the time it takes you to think about them.

You know i worked really hard to get my Licence I saved for 2 yrs the 4000Dollars to pay for school. Pluse any extra classes i took one for dieabetics, one for pregnecy, I studyed realy hard and still to this day reasearch and learn new things They have kits like these in the drug stores here in the states i love when they come in after trying to do it themselfs "Please Can you help me" I have had 2 since i opened my salon in november They must swear never to do it again befor i will even look at them.!!! I worked hard and still do work hard for my knowledge!!! UGH IT MAKES ME!##$%^^&

I agree that this is a right load of rubbish, but I find it more laughable than anything, I'm certainly not worried.

Think of it this way - you could sell me all the tools and equipment I need to plumb my own bathroom suite in, and give me a leaflet with some basic instructions. that would not give me the necessaries to become a plumber and I guarantee you that I would have water pouring through my dining room ceiling within a week!!! I like to think this way about "Rio" techs (for want of a better phrase). They will either throw the towel in after attempting their first set, or a few may have the bravado to charge for a couple of sets, but that wont last long when they have unsatisfied customers demanding their money back.

Nope, I'm not worried, but I can see how it rubs peoples backs up the wrong way when we've ploughed money, sweat and tears into what we do. Have a glass of wine, and sit back waiting for the phone to ring when you are called upon to fix the botch job of the Rio tech!
