Hi gang,

I am in need of assistance with a copper to deep red transformation. Basically, I've pre-bleached hair to the orange stage and want to go dark red. Is it best to take the hair to a darker level 6 ash first or simply dye over the orange?

I can provide the red formula I want to use, too if that helps.

Thank you in advance!

When you are doing a color back you just need to be concerned with filling in the underlying tones thstvyou removed, so if you are going to a level 6 red then you would be replacing the tone that removed so yes you can just put the color over top of the copper

Why not just fill, then counter the gold and enhance the red?
