hi guys need your opinions.
i went to a salon last week and wanted a hair exstensions-the type where one piece is glued in. they said it will be £80. and i also wanted my hair dyed from blonde to brown which they said will be £60. i paid a deposit and booked the appointment for today. today when i turned up the trainee didn't get the dye mix quite right as my hair kept goin red instead of brown. she dyed my hair 3 times. when i came to pay the said it will be £200!! not including the £80 i already payed!
is that fair or have i been ripped off..i do feel ripped of!:Scared:

If they have quoted you a price then to charge more (much more) is unfair.

So let me get this straight, you were quoted £140 and were charged £280?!

IMO they shouldn't have quoted you if they couldn't stick to it. I can see why, as they had to colour your hair three times but that is the stylists area of expertise and should have worked that out. However you shouldn't have paid. Now you have given them the money you are in a difficult situation.

ripped rite off, if u were quoted £60 for the colour then that is what u pay, its not your fault she kept getting it wrong! what the hell does your hair feel like after being coloured 3 times? u need to get your £140 back hun! xx

Oh my goodness, that's an awful lot to have paid out! to put things in perspective, you could have had a whole head of extensions for around 250 and my hair dresser dyes my hair for me for 35 pounds. if she didn't get the mix right i wouldn't expect to foot the bill for her error!

thanks for the replies guys. i will make a point never to return to them! my hair has loads of split ends now and the colour is awfull not to mention the extensions came loose after a couple of days!! wish i never gone there!

you need to go back hun and get your money back, im not suprised your extensions came loose after all that colour! good luck! x

I agree, you should at least go back and show them what has happened to ytour hair. I have just noticed you are in leighton buzzard, which isn't far from me. PM me if you would like recommendations for a decent hairdresser I have a couple of ladies I know here in tring that are excellent and also if you ever go down the micro rings or prebonded hair extensions route x good luck at the salon!
