hi geeks,

I went to an overlay client today (my first overlay other than myself) and since leaving she has sent pictures that the overlay has just 'popped off'

I used cuccio cuticle remover but am sure I removed all of this before applying the hard gel. My other possible problem is I left my gel in sunlight and some of it cured, it was only the top layer so I removed this and continued to use the pot. Would either of these cause a problem? I'm unsure as to what the problem could be if not!

I'd say there was something left underneath so it didn't adhere to the nail plate properly xxx did you squeak the nail plate?

By squeak do you mean buff? I did buff the nail plate before application, do you think I've missed something?

Dehydrate with either scrub fresh or a prep product xx

Could be combination of improper prep, bad or incompatible lamp, and bad gel. You really need to throw away that gel. It's contaminated.

Generally though, if it pops off, it was never adhered to begin with.

Looks and sound like the nail wasn't prepped properly....with your scrub fresh on a lint free pad keep rubbing till you litteraly hear it squeak...i always know then it's "squeky" clean lol.

What were the steps of your application?
