We got a one in the salon for free off our rep and personally i dont like them.. The barrell does stay nice and cool but i found it heavy and awkward and didnt like the shape of the nozel!! I love my parlux lol :)

At salon last year when I looked at the ghd stand they said they where competing with the market leader!

My parlux has lasted 5 years n still going strong ( touch wood) always have used parlux n always will. I won't even touch ghd straightners after a pair blew up in my hands 9 years ago!

Parlux all the way!! ....but then again i dont like ghd full stop. Unnecassery amount of heat, money, and a load of hoo-haa over nothing but singed snapping hair. but thats just my opinion :) stick with your parlux ;) x

I have to agree, I remember getting my first Parlux at 16 and it lasted me years :) I feel GHD's are highly over rated

Parlux all the way, I got mine at 15 and I'm now 23 and still using the same one, and no signs of it breaking yet. Also still using kodo flat irons I got at the same time (taken over by fhi).
I'll stick to what I know with this kind of thing. I hate ghd's, the times iv had to use them when out in a club and its all they have in the toilets or at a friends house my hair has felt like straw and dosent last straight for as long as my kodo's (it lasts 3 days, and that's only because that's when I wash it otherwise probably longer, my aunt had her very curly hair blowdried and flat ironed before a week camping, and came back with it just as straight, and they are the only ones that get her hair smooth when she flat iroes herself) xoxo

Thanks everyone! I think il def stick with parlux thn xxxxxx

I was wondering if they were any good aswell, i cant believe how expensive they are though, why is it so expensive? Is it just the name, or is there some special new technology?

Name I think, I'm sure there must be new workings in there to ghd, but with parlux's reputation and my own experience I wouldn't want to take the chance until the air has been used and approved for a while xoxo

We have them in the salon and it's just name

I cnt believe all the negative for ghds these days! They need to up their game! To b honest I think the gold stylers aren't gr8 and the m4s r slacking x

We got 3 free ghd and we've sent everyone back they get too hot and the nozzle fly offs because it gets to warm then hits client and burns them hahaha ghd are over rated xxx

Well I'm guessing cost price for a GHD air is about the same as a parlux going by the fact Ghd are selling them for £79 ATM in shops!
