Hi geeks can anyone recommend a good permanent hair straighten product. I have 3 horrible kinks in my hair, I've tried a couple of the semi perm blow drys which haven't managed to get the kink out grr. Many thanks. Xx

Anyone?? Does anybody use a permanent straighten product. Many thanks. Xx

I've bobbed over from nails & skin and saw your post. I'm not a hair tech but I had matrix straightening about 4 years ago which was really good. I can't have it just now as my hair is too dry :-(

I had a kerastraight treatment which felt great until my first wash even with the shampoo provided!

Hi Hun I've popped over from the nail side to... I've got really strong Mediterranean curly hair and I've been having the YUKO system for years, it is permanent and my hair stays straight and I'n good condition! I hardly ever have to blow-dry it except I'n a rush. Another good one is IHR (ionic hair repair) hth xxx

I use to matrix opti smooth and it is really nice results compared to the japanese yuko system. Both have very nice results. I personally favour the optismooth as i can go cold or hot. Word of advice make sure you stick with the aftercare, as i had a client recently who didnt follow it. xoxo

I use Bio Iionic Retex permanent straightning and i find it great.
It has a protective gel that you use as it is processing to help protect bleached, coloured areas.
I find the hair in great condition when finished. x

Hi, I use wella strate and it is fantastic, even on really thick curly hair !

loreal x- tenso is amazing and doesn't damage the hair to much x

Hi, does anyone know if you can chemically straighten hair extensions?? I had new virgin hair extensions fitted a couple of months ago but they are naturally curly :( i like to wear my hair straight most of the time and am finding it hard to keep them styled how i like them. I was wondering if they would be ok to chemically straighten or if it would damage/dry out the hair too much??

Yuko is fab if done correctly first time I had it was amazing had it done following year and the woman over processed my hair resulting in my having to have 7 " cut off... Luckily it was very long at the time lol
x

I have used glatt and wellastrate in the past with good results.

I would only really use a chemical straightner on clients with virgin hair in very good condition. Using straightners on coloured hair will just leave a straight frizz, resulting in much needed never ending protein treatments. This can happen even if you use a chemical straightner specifically for coloured/porous hair.

L'Oreal! Xtenso is brilliant! One for straightening and one for smoothing and controlling hair! xxx
