I've been having trouble with the gold mirror pigment. I applied black gel and a no wipe top coat, applied my pigment as usual then used my gelish top it off top coat but when I wipe the tacky off, it takes off some of the gold in little patches. I take great care to make sure I apply top coat to the whole nail so I haven't a clue why this is happening. Can anyone help. Only seems to happen with gold which is the only one of my pigments that I didn't get from gelish

Have you tried using the no wipe top coat as the final top coat instead of gelish?

I did think about that but if the colour is going to come off really easily, I'd rather know before I leave (I work mobile) rather than having to go back. I'm worried that the first time they wash their hands after I leave, big patches will come off then

If it's coming off when you wipe the nail then I can only think the top coat isn't cured.
Is it possibly reacting with this particular pigment??
I use lots of different Ines and never had any issues like this before.

On my first set of chrome that I did on my mum I had this problem.
Fixed it by making sure the no wipe top coat was painted on really well over the colour coat, rub in the powder hard, turn the eyeshadow applicator over to clean side and rub again, then wipe over the nail a few times with a lint free pad. Then I applied topcoat again floating it over then brushing to make sure everywhere was covered and this has done the job :) chrome now looks perfect and lasts two weeks+

Thanks very much I'll try that

Just checked my lamp & it seems I had a bulb out so you could be right. Thanks very much
