Platinum to grey, help!

I first dyed my hair with a box dye with no ammonia and it went yellow, I then put a colour touch 8/81 on it and it went a perfect grey. I then started doing my roots and it went proper platinum now everytime I put the colour touch semi on it it goes like a blue/purple tone then fades to silver. I WANT IT GREY AGAIN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!

Not pathetic! We've spent yrs and a ton of cash to learn how to use the chemicals correctly, and to know how to rectify DIY box colour disasters, just like you've encountered , we are not allowed to inform non pros how to use professional chemicals. Forum rules!
A, we can't see the condition of your hair
B, we can't see the exact shade, tone, elasticity, porosity...
C, it's not always as simple as putting on a colour to magic it to the correct colour you want.

If we gave you a formula based on the information you give us, and it turns out wrong, who's going to get the blame? Leave your hair to a professional salon!
