Hi everyone! I have a couple of clients who are sisters , they constantly lose nails every week! 2/3/4 nails every week!

I don't have this with any other clients, and I can't understand why it's happening to them!

Only thing I can think of is they have an oily nail plate? I use NSI acrylic powder and liquid and the attraction primer. Is there anything else I could use or swap that would be better and hold their nails?

What job do they do Jess? Is it something they're coming into contact with?

They both work in super markets, but the one has been off for weeks with a bad shoulder so it's not that! I've ordered NSI super bond now to try. I don't know what else to do but in wasting time and product every time because I don't charge them for repairs x

Well this may be coincidence but I had a client worked in a supermarket, kept losing them, turned out she was opening sealed cardboard boxes with her nails [emoji33]

Or possibly if they're on the deli etc and wear those sweaty little plastic gloves all day long it could be down to that, gloves are good to protect from chemicals etc but worn for hours on end can have the reverse effect, builds up moisture, and if there's any lifting it tends not to be good x

I did them today, and she said they pinged off when she was lifting a heavy box!

Nails don't just ping off haha. Shes being too hard on her hands and nails. Are they perhaps to long for her with her type of work? Sometimes shortening the length is the only way to cut back the lifting nails. There really is no such thing as an oily nail plate so I doubt that a special primer/bonder would help much.

Yes reduce the length and suggest a square shape rather than pointed as it's quite a strong shape. And be sure to build a good wide c-curve in if she's heavy handed! And make sure you charge or there's no incentive to be remotely careful x

Yeah I took them down really short. Like hardly any free edge! Yet still losing them in a matter of days!
