Products used in Cyprus under Shellac?

Hi, I had a client yesterday who had their nails done in Cyprus. She said it was shellac used so I tried to remove with my usual cnd removers. I did notice when applying the wraps that the nails looked particularly smooth and could have enhancements! When I tried to remove the polish, it hadn't moved much so rewrapped and waited again.they did come off on next attempt,however there was another clear layer under that almost like a skin but my removers didn't have a reaction.only one came off in a "owner".It definitely wasn't brisa smoothing gel, can anyone help as she is coming back in two weeks for shellac application and felt inadequately prepared !! She is positive it wasn't acrylic.(which I don't use).

A lot of places I've been to in Cyprus use Bio Sculpture. But then they also have Gelish too. Ask her if it was a little pot with a paint brush?

She said it was applied like polish and went under the lamp....has me totally confuse!

Luxio builder gel in a bottle or whatever it's called? Maybe something similar it's a soak off gel in a bottle

I've come across this before too a few years back now, never since though.

Would be interesting to find out what it is, I couldnt get it to budge!

Thanks for comments, I thought maybe it could have been something like ibx but had assumed as it didn't come off with regular removers it probably wasn't!! Don't think I'll find out but hopefully my lady has managed to shift it before her next appointment.

If it's soak off you would use acetone wraps unless the system has its own remover (which would probably be acetone based anyway)
Non soak off you would just buff [emoji51]

I haven't ever used it but it is soak off, it's got a really high gel content so might be worth filing most of it down if it is that or a similar product it would explain why it didn't come off easily like the shellac x

Thanks for that, it did give such a lovely smooth finish on her nails, but don't think it is worth this upheaval at removal!! I never actually thought about buffing it!
