hi ever1, this is my 1st time using this so i hope im doin it right lol. someone has got purple hair and have asked me to get it back 2 a brown. do u think i would need 2 strip it back, or any other advice please x

is it purple all over ? like a fashion shade ? or just slices ? .. what level of depth do you need to get back to ?

Think about your colour wheel. Purple is a mix of red and blue. Green counters red, yellow counters blue. so use a mix of 4.3, 4, and 4.7 (L'Oreal numbering system, not wella), and you will get a 4.

thanks persianista 4 ure help. dee it is a home loreal kit that is a full head colour, went pure black but purple under the light, and now that its washed out a bit she said it looks plum in colour. havent seen it myself. still dont know if i should just strip it back with like effasor and then do the tint? confused.com lol xx

Test strand it first if its a box colour. They can be a bit hard to shift.

sorry post on your thread but my firend has just used live xxl ultraviolet.
She used 2 bottles but she applied it to the roots first then her ends :(.
so now she has bright purple roots and her mid lengh and ends havent taken much.
She has called me for help but i dont know what to advice her.
I havent done hair for over 15 years and things have changed in that time.
She has now said she want her hair purple no more :(
so need some professional advice so i can help her.
Thanks:hug:

Sounds like she needs to lay off the box colours and get to a pro to sort it out.
Can't advise on home colours (obviously) and without seeing it can't really advise on professional course of action, depends on target shade, colour build up, current condition, etc.
She really needs to see a pro.
X

Thanks will pass it on :)
