I'm new, I'm not computer friendly, sorry. I wanted to ask you smart young people a question about a recent problem I have just experienced for the first time ever.

I have always used White Rain Gel to keep my hair in place. I couldn't find it in the store so I picked up Treseme Holding Gel, or Styling Gel. Clear. I put a small dollop on my palm as instructed, spread it evenly through my hair, curled my hair and went to church.

I thought I would go insane in the pew. My eyebrows, my ears, the back of my neck, my cheeks started to get very hot and itchy. It eased up a little during the evening, but when I woke up today it was back, now its my whole face. You can't see the rash, only feel it. I'm thinking a transfer from the pillow overnight just about covered everything.

Has anyone else ever experienced this almost immediate symptom after using this product? What do I do, wait and see, throw it out, call the company?

I would appreciate any information you may be able to share. Thanking you in advance, carolyn g

ps, can you recommend the mildest gel for me as I can't find my White Rain any longer.....

All new products should always be skin tested even hair supplies bought off the shelf. Many people are atopic without realising it sadly this can and has resulted in the death of users, more recently with a young lady using hairdyes.

I would take a pirition if you have used them before and check ingredients as you will likely have similar issues with other products. YOu can purchase natuiral ones from natural sites online.
This should be mentioned when you next attend the hairdressers , as this can and is likely to occur again with some products they are using.
I have this issue with silvikrin hair products.
