Hello,

I have just completed my level 2 training and will be starting level 3 in September.

I am looking at cleaning up my basic skills so wondered if anyone could please recommend any 1 day courses/ short courses in blow drys, foiling and classic cutting in the liverpool or manchester area?

I have had a look online and found a couple but don't want to tip money down the drain on bad courses.

Anything for recently qualified would be great as I obviously know the basics and have some experience.

Do you have a salon job at all?

If so - you can usually contact their colour house for fairly cheap 1 day courses in colouring techniques and they base them on different levels of experience.

Sally's have a fairly extensive short course list as well - for alright prices.

Yer I've looked at the loreal training catalogue in the salon I work in but thought I'd see if there are any other recommendations. I train with wella in college and have looked at there's to, both a bit pricey but I guess it will be good quality. Out of the 2 only wella do a blow dry course but it is quite expensive. Sallys do a blow dry course but only 2 dates on there which aren't local to me. I will keep checking tho thank you 😊

Decide what colour house to use then ask them for local courses- usually about £50. They are cheaper than the bigger academy courses.

Look up all local wholesale too for cutting, but a £800 cutting course is going to be better than a £100 day course. So maybe save up and invest in the good ones.

The salon I work in uses several different colour houses and I train with wella in college. I think I would benefit from a loreal course definitely. It's more blow drying, foils and classic cutting I'm looking to go on over the next few months. Will definitely get saving and book on ASAP, and keep to recognise able brands 😊

If you block book you generally get discounts and also last minute spaces can go cheaply.

Remember these brands want bums on seats and people to buy more product it's not really about the outlay cost of the course x

This months pro hair/beauty magazine in Sally's has a 15% discount on training courses booked between now and September.
