Recommend a nice toner please?

I have a client with base 5 ( coloured hair ) who is having full head of highlights on Friday I'm not sure if I want to leave them bleach blonde so was thinking o toning them with a nice light brown or blonde .... Any recommendations ?

Hi Hun it would depend on how light ya manage to get the blonde and what the client is aiming for but just personally I wouldn't tone with anything lighter than a base 8 to begin with xx

I know this gonna sound crazy but I've only ever toned with well 10/16 for a nice ashy toner
Can u literally use a base 8 and above or any shade as a toner?

Well the darkest I've ever used is a 7 hunni but again that's just my choice but you use any tone depending on what your client is after is it wella you use?? Also for a set of highlights on non highlighted hair it's nice to use a toner that will complement what's already on there I like 8/71 it's nice

Just to add it's not really ashy with the brunette being the primary tone but the 1 just cools it down nice it all depends what colour her hair is now etc but try to choose a tone that compliments the colour already on there
