Is it very bright vibrant red or a natural brown red colour?
Coloured red hair will always fade quickly, especially if it's on top of bleached hair. You can reduce the effect by topping up with a red coloured conditioner between colour appointments.
Revlon colour balls are good but there are lots of other brands out there. What does your hairdresser recommend?
Otherwise mix some crazy colour red into your normal conditioner but you'll need to wear gloves when applying it and be careful around the hairline as it will stain your skin.
