Red to blonde

i need some advice, my hair is short and bright red and i really want to go as blonde as can be. i know this is a challenge.
Im just wondering what it would entail at a salon, what theyd have to do, how long will it take?
any ideas about should i go brown first?, only i bleached a strand and it went pink so im wondering if i went to a salon would they say go brown if its going pink?

It depends what your natural hair color is and the condition of your hair.
They may need to bleach your hair using a stronger peroxide. Or they may have to bleach your hair several times.
We can't really say what they will do because we can't actually see your hair.
Red hair is difficult to lift out sometimes.

All will become clear when you visit the salon.

i did this a long time ago and my advise would be based on how attached to your hair you are and how short you are willing to go. im a hair stylist but i wouldnt have done to someone else what i did to myself.
i bleached my hair about 4 times then toned it. it went white, which is what i wanted but it ended up being about an inch long. good job my hair grows fast!!! haha
