Hi guys

Can anyone give me the idiots guide to reflexology? I'd love to try it but am not sure what the benefits are iykwim! I have a lot of body massages as Im constantly achy & the massages really help both sooth the aches & relax me but would like to try something different.

I know that areas on your feet corespond with areas of your body so is reflexology used more to diagnose & target a specfic aliment, or do you get a general feeling of relaxation/wellness (like you would a massage) from having it done?

Are there any after effects? For example I always feel great after my massage but had acupunture years ago and felt terrible afterwards. I was told it was the toxins that had been released and although I know it was just one of them things its put me off ever having it done again!

I am trained in beauty & nails but not massage/ complimentary therapies so am really clueless on what its all about really. Any info would be gratefully received lol. Xx

Hi, reflexology is a relaxing treatment to have, it's not used to diagnose, we are not doctors! But you can normally tell if people have ailments in specific areas - such as a sore shoulder or if they have the cold the corresponding areas of the feet (or hands) can feel like 'bubble wrap' to the therapist.
It can aid sleep and help you to feel relaxed amongst other benefits.
You will get the best results by going for a course as opposed to a one off treatment. 😊
