Hello,
So recently I've been told that some salons require any new incoming client with acrylic already on their nails to be removed, in case that acrylic contains MMA. Is this practical? I mean i always thought that once you started to file an MMA nail that the smell could be noticed, that it is noticeably different from MME acrylics.
I've been working for a few years, have had a few clients with acrylic already on and didn't remove it. I was confident that their acrylic was not an MMA one. And I'm pretty confident in my judgment between the two, i have run into MMA, and it smells very bad and in no way similar.
I'm just curious if this is a regular occurrence in most salons? Do you think it is always necessary on the "what if" case? Do you think this is just an additional charge for clients?
Curious what others think about this.
