Hi all, I am new to this forum, I have a problem with removing my gel nails. I have cut the ends and buffered the top layer off, I then tried superstrong nail varnish remover to melt the gels repeatedly over the last few weeks, problem I now have is my gels have left a line across my natural nails, how do I fix this as I want them to grow naturally now but they are in such poor condition despite using cuticle oils and nail conditioners etc. please advise. :Scared:

Hi

Your nail technician should be able to retail you the soak off items needed, & tell you how to do it correctly. Which wont cause any damage, or just book in for a removal.

Is the gel now completely removed?

If you have now got damage to the nail, you may have to wait for it to grow out. (I had this when my natural nails were drilled :( before acrylics years ago!)

You could book in for a couple of regular manicures to help keep your nails in good condition & explain what has happened. Which may be better than asking on here as we cant see your nails to assess them properly.

It is a shame it has caused you damage, as when applied & importantly removed correctly it shouldn't cause any damage to your natural nail.

Xx

Hi, thanks for your help but it looks like I'm gonna have to let them grow out because the damage has now been done. Thanks for your help anyway xx
