Removing red!

Has anyone used the wella colour renew to help remove unwanted permanent colour? I have a client who has had wella 55/46 for the past 6 years and wants to go brown. As you can imagine the red is being very stubborn.

Has anyone used the wella colour renew to help remove unwanted permanent colour? I have a client who has had wella 55/46 for the past 6 years and wants to go brown. As you can imagine the red is being very stubborn.

I have used it and wasn't overwhelmed with it.
My client had 66/46 an wanted to go blonde.
I did this twice, first application it just took down the vibrancy of the red, but was still like a 6/41, so I did it again and it was more like 8/34. So it's very mild, if you have time and patience and your client is willing to pay then it is worth persevering and re applying, because there was no compromise to the hair what so ever!! No harsh smell and no problems re colouring! So all in all worth it if you can be patient. But if you need a quick fix avoid it.
