I had extensions fitted 5 weeks ago and after the first wash they became a tangled, knotted mess. They look completely dried out and like a wild bush! I have followed the aftercare advice I was given completely so I can't understand why they have got into such a state.

They were supposedly remy pre-bonded extensions and I am curious as to whether they are human hair. Is there a way I can tell?

Can anyone recommend anybody in the Leicestershire area who does good quality remy pre-bonded, preferably mobile?

Please help!

What shampoo and conditioner are you using? What is your aftercare routine ? X

I was told to use Aussie shampoo and conditioner as they don't contain silicon. I have now also started using Macadamia leave-in cream conditioner, avoiding the bonds as it's so dry.

Ok you should be using professional hair extension products only these can guarantee your extensions, are you also separating the bonds ect speak with your extensionist xx

I tried to phone her today and am waiting for her to return my call. She said there was no need to buy special products, just to avoid ones like Pantene, Tresemme, L'oreal etc. as they contain silicon. She didn't say anything about separating the bonds but it's one big knotted mess so I think that would be impossible! Thanks for your advice.
