hi everyone, i am about to open my own salon and i need some help with knowing what to charge to rent out one of my nail bars to a nail technichian, i have somebody interested wanting to work 2-3 days a week which i am happy with. They will be doing gel extentions and acrylic extentions as i cant do these myself. I have disscusses with them i want them to work for themselves (self employed) and to use/supply their own product. I have a brand new high quality nail bar (fully electrical extractor fan) going into my salon, for them to use and to store their products. The salon i am opening is in a fantastic area (not city but highly populated). In this area you can charge £25.00 for gel extentions and £28.00 for acrylic. I am fully prepared to go out of my way to promote her nail services, book in all clients for her, i will also be advertising for her in my price list and on my salon windows, I have a number of clients allready for her. I will also be advertising for her in door to door leaflets being distributed around the local area (3000 leaflets to be precise) how much can i charge this person per day to rent my nail bar???????????????

I pay 20% on each client, wonder if there is a standard charge? hope you get some useful answers!
what you include sounds great, good luck x

thanks for your reply, do you mind me asking, is your salon big or small? is it in a city? xx:hug: also do you buy all your own products? xx

hi - just incase we get told off - (as you are new, plus I've just reread the geek commandments again, so have just thought about it) if you want to ask a single geek a question, you can message them direct, just hover over their name and the option will appear, If you then go into your profile it will let you know if you have had a reply - you can also set it so the site emails you to alert you to any messages. (hope I am coming across as helpful, not patronising, sorry)
I "rent" a small room, there is only one other room and a therapist rents that for massage. I should be paying £50 a week, plus a % on each client, but as I can't do full time hours, and I don't do enhancements yet, there is no way i could afford that.
I provide everything of my own, including table, chairs to the tea and cups my clients use.
I don;t think my situation helps you much does it?

I pay £15 for a wed (but can only do 12-4) cos the lady wont open earlier. I pay £20 Thurs and £25 for a sat. Struggling at the mo as not got loads of clients. she does 50/50 with one girl on her clients but I was going to ask her to do 60/40 with me as i buy my own product- I think unless im doing it percentage based she has no insentive of booking clients in with me. Its a nightmare at the mo to be honest!
xx
